APPLICATIONS
Soft iron is suitable for use as sacrificial anodes for the protection of condensers & pumps in the electricity generation & shipping industries.
Also suitable for use in the manufacture of a wide variety of component parts of magnetic circuits carrying a direct flux.
Plus many other applications in the electrical and electronic industries.

| Silicon | 0.05 % maximum |
| Manganese | 0.20 % maximum |
| Sulphur | 0.02 % maximum |
| Phosphorous | 0.01 % maximum |
This specification can be maintained consistently from cast to cast. Heat treatment is necessary to guarantee specific electromagnetic properties if required.
